PTZ Prototypenzentrum GmbH Dresden

Prototype manufacturing in practice

18th April 2012 - Dresden PTZ prototype center GmbH makes students ready for the practice: Mechatronic engineering students at the Technical University of Dresden are invited again this year to get a impression of the fast and often highly confidential production of models, initial samples and small series.

The CEO of the company, Detlef Kistenmacher, opens the doors to the premises in the Otto Mohr-Straße to the youth of the 8th Semester (Special manufacturing engineering) for the eighth time. On their tour through the production facilities they see, among other things, prototypes for customers from the automotive and appliance technology arise. It is also a opportunity for the students to check their theoretical knowledge of the process of rapid prototyping'.

Already in the previous years, students were able to observe how the modern manufacturing systems, the stereolitography and laser-sintering of three-dimensional design data created an original model. The PTZ specialists in vacuum casting and the precision casting are open to the  critical questions of the young engineers.
